at the Cincinnati Observatory

There is nothing more romantic than the night sky. Starry-eyed lovers have been gazing upward in wonder for millennia. So, this year give your Valentine a true, out-of-this-world experience at the Cincinnati Observatory high atop Mt. Lookout.
On Valentine’s night, the “Birthplace of American Astronomy” will offer:
*Astro-centric strolling violin music.
*Gourmet hot chocolate by Lookout Joe Mount Lookout Coffee Roasters. (Introducing the new “Cincinnati Observatory Hot & Heavenly Cocoa.”)
*A new chocolate (the ultimate aphrodisiac!) dessert created especially for this event by Chef Julie Francis of Nectar Restaurant.
*A live, Star-Gazer lily for each couple.
Our Outreach Astronomer (and resident "James Bond of the Night Sky*"), Dean Regas will give a presentation about Mars (the red planet of passion) and there will be tours of the buildings as well as viewing through the historic 1843 and 1904 telescopes (weather permitting).
This is your opportunity to “wish upon a star” and perhaps cuddle a bit beneath the Cincinnati Observatory's silvery domes.
Cost: $40 per couple. Reservations are required. Space is limited.
