Light Up OTR is an annual tradition aimed at uniting the community as they post 2,000 luminaries throughout the neighborhood.
As Over-The-Rhine witnesses a rebirth of life and energy in the historic neighborhood, this observance seeks to unite past, present and future residents through an event that celebrates the artistic spirit of Over-The-Rhine. Young professionals, community leaders, artists and residents will join together to will activate Washington Park with the second annual evening holiday market drawing over 80 vendors and food trucks. Similar to its popular summertime events, this "urban flea market"will offer countless gift ideas from local artists, collectors and makers.
The lighting of a 30-foot tree in Washington Park will culminate the event, after which guests are invited to enjoy the Light Up OTR after party at The Moerlein Tap Room located at 1621 Moore Street.
We are seeking volunteers to create luminaries for the event.
Those wishing to volunteer can meet at Washington Park to assemble the luminaries￼
5:00 PM The City Flea opens to the public. 6:00 PM Volunteers can gather together to assemble luminaries 7:30 PM Teams will be coordinated to disperse the Lumnaries 9:00 PM Volunteers and guests gather at Washington Park for the lighting of the OTR Christmas tree. 10:30 PM After party begins at The Moerlein Tap Room
