Balloon Boy trapped in backyard mine shaft this week
COLORADO – Authorities have responded to another 911 call this week from the Heene family in Fort Collins, Colorado. The family reported 6-year-old Falcon Heene has fallen into a 1,000 foot deep mine shaft on the family property.
The mine shaft was built by Richard Heene, Falcon’s Father, who is an amateur mining enthusiast. Reportedly, while the family was extracting copper reserves from a recently discovered copper vein, Falcon’s older brother told the parents he saw Falcon fall into the mine shaft.
Falcon is not responding verbally to rescue workers and the mine shaft is too deep for anyone to see Falcon Heene as he lies presumably at the bottom. However, Falcon appears o be responding on the Heene family's official Twitter page using a Blackberry Falcon was given on his 4th birthday. In his last tweet, Falcon explained he is enjoying his exploration of the mine shaft the way any 6-year-old would.
“Falcon knew not to get too close to the edge of the shaft”, said Richard Heene. “But I think he got excited by the site of all that copper. We hope he’s okay down there. We look forward to consequent Twitter, Facebook, and other social media updates from our beloved son.”
The Fort Collins Sherriff’s Department is investigating several suspicious tweets posted by Richard Heene hours before the 911 call. Reportedly, the tweets urged people to pray for Falcon’s safe rescue from the mine shaft.
Also authorities say they discovered an email written by Richard Heene to E! Entertainment Television pre-dated for next week stating Falcon was infected with the H1N1 virus while working in a basement virus laboratory built by Richard Heene for the purpose of finding a cure for the H1N1 virus. “I’ve always been a virology enthusiast. Not many people know Falcon also contracted the Avian Flu and Swine Flu which allowed us to develop antidotes and saved millions of lives.”
