Second shoe thrower suspected behind grassy knoll
BAGHDAD, IRAQ - Following the shoe throwing incident during President Bush's unannounced visit to Baghdad this week, investigators have learned of a possible co-conspirator hidden behind the nearby Baghdad grassy knoll. In what is now considered the largest shoe thrower conspiracy in history, authorities believe it is unlikely that Iraqi TV reporter Muntadhar al-Zaidi acted alone.
In the Baghdad grassy knoll, an abandoned pair of size ten shoes were found matching the pair thrown by Muntadhar al-Zaidi. This second pair of shoes has led to the development of a ‘second shoe thrower' theory.
The trail of evidence indicates the shoes may have been originally stored at the Baghdad Shoe Depository before being moved to the grassy knoll in preparation for the plot to pummel the President. While hurling the shoes during the press conference, Muntadhar al-Zaidi exclaimed, "اللغة العربية الفصحى سفن أب أرقام هندي ة." Authorities believe this may have been a code to alert the second shoe thrower to deploy the second pair of shoes.
In the Arabic world, throwing shoes at a person is considered a top insult second only to beheading and hanging dead bodies from bridges.
