Injured casino workers offered free buffet vouchers

CINCINNATI, OH - Workers who were injured in the Cincinnati Horseshoe casino collapse have been assured that construction will continue without incident. The injured workers have also been awarded vouchers which can be exchanged for a free meal at the casino buffet.

“We want the hard working people who are building this casino to understand we care,” said director of hospitality Gwen Hill. “So we hope they will take the opportunity, in 2013 or possibly 2014 to heal from the physical and emotional trauma by exploring the bountiful options available at our casino buffet.”

Though a similar collapse occurred at the casino development in Cleveland, casino management did not offer workers any complimentary vouchers. “We find that workers in Cleveland have a low self esteem from years of living in Cleveland,” said gaming official Tony Consolo. “Getting a broken bone or two is just part of an average day for them. Plus, your average Cleveland construction worker can really put one hell of a hurting on a buffet.”

The vouchers will be good for breakfast, lunch or dinner, although Hill pointed out, “We will have to advise the injured parties that there will be an up charge for the Friday Peel-N-Eat Shrimp Night. Also, beverages are available at normal price, no food may be taken from the buffet area, and we request that all injured workers tip their servers at the pre-discounted buffet rate.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” said construction worker Donnie Lang. “I’m planning on going during breakfast, that way I might be able to make a couple of bucks by using some of the oatmeal as spackle in case I see any areas that need repair.”
