Plan B contraceptive most popular kiosk at Northgate Mall
CINCINNATI, OH - Among the many kiosks dotting the walkways of Northgate Mall, the spot selling the “Plan B” emergency contraceptive has been found to be the most popular. The Plan B kiosk sales eclipsed those of Sunglasses Etc. and the Dakota Watch kiosk by nearly 200%.
A representative from Duramed Pharmaceuticals accepted the highly coveted Northgate Mall Sales Star award, but gave all of the credit to the local team. “The kids we have in front of the kiosk have done a spectacular job,” said Duramed spokesman Kenneth Layton. “Not only are they a great sales team, they’re also some of our best customers.”
The Plan B emergency contraceptive pill does not require a prescription, and is also available at pharmacy counters. The pill does require a prescription for anyone under the age of seventeen, which has not been a problem for sales at the Northgate Mall kiosk. “Luckily, since we are already at the mall, there are checkpoints in place,” said kiosk salesman Keisha Flynn. “We know that Claire’s requires an ID for ear piercing, so we can be sure that anyone with pierced ears is legal and of age.”
"Oh my god it is such a great idea!" said Plan B customer Ashley Boyle. "I mean, if I just bought a cute pair of shoes and some hot leggings, you know exactly what's gonna happen later, right?"
Managers of Northgate were a bit surprised to find out that the Plan B kiosk was performing so well. “Looks like they’ll be at the top of the sales list for a while,” said Northgate GM Anthony Dillon. “At least until Christmas when Hickory Farms rolls out the summer sausage booth. It really surprised me that the Plan B people decided to open a place here, especially after the dental dam kiosk closed after only a month.”
