Tiger Woods to host new NBC morning show, Apology Today

NEW YORK, NY - Seeking to capitalize on the powerful ratings achieved by Tiger Woods’ recent apology, NBC has announced that Tiger will be hosting a new morning show called Apology Today.
“America loves apologies almost as much as the scandals that call for them,” said Director of NBC Daytime Programming Bruce Evans. “We feel that viewers will be drawn to Apology Today to quench their never ending desire to be asked for forgiveness. We hope that the trend will continue as we develop an apology themed game show for the next hour.”
Apology Today will feature daily apologies from Tiger Woods for his many transgressions, past present and future. It will also serve as a forum for other celebrities seeking the forgiveness of their friends, family and the country at large. In addition, viewers be invited to send in apologies for things their own personal transgressions.
Woods is excited to begin his new venture, “I was planning to take some time away from the PGA tour anyway, if for no other reason than I think it’s best not to have golf clubs around the house right now. I look forward to meeting Mark McGuire, Elliot Spitzer, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, the governor of South Carolina and all the other remorseful celebrities and politicians. Plus, I’ve got plenty of my own apology material to keep the show going strong for years to come.”
Apology Today will air immediately after the Today Show at 10 am EST in the spot formerly occupied by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. One of the first segments on the new show will consist of NBC executives apologizing for subjecting the American public to Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
