ESPN College GameDay admits secretly airing from Penn State but saying it was Clemson

STATE COLLEGE, PA - ESPN has issued an apology to it's viewers following the admission that the program was broadcast at Penn State last month and not Clemson University as viewers were led to believe.  ESPN executives say the College GameDay episode aired from Penn State to reduce operating costs with efficiencies such as less travel time to ESPN headquarters in Bristol Connecticut, easier campus access, minimal crowd control needs, and reduced security.

Throughout the show the announcers repeatedly insisted they were broadcasting from Clemson.  Executive Producer Kevin Osborne admitted, "The show was entirely faked.  It was a giant green screen operation.  The entire background of Clemson's campus was digitized including Tillman Hall, the famous Clemson clock tower.  Penn State students eagerly accepted payment in return for wearing Clemson gear and waving Clemson signage."

Before students broke the scandal on Twitter, insiders say ESPN was was hatching a plan to film all future GameDay epiodes on Penn State's campus.  "It is an ideal, low-pressure setting almost as convenient as filming on an empty Hollywood movie set.
The only difficulty in the broadcast was footage we aired of several students carrying a stolen bronze statue of Joe Paterno over their shoulders."  said Osborne.
